With a link from Textor to Landim, Lyon tries to cross Wolves and take Joao Gomes out of Flamengo

Joao Gomes fate was all but sealed last Thursday, when Flamengo and Wolverhampton reached an agreement on a €17m (R$94m) transfer, but another English-speaking VIP made history. The American John Textor, majority shareholder of Botafogo and Lyon, wants to take him to France.
Journalist Venê Casagrande has published information about Lyon’s attempt to break through the British club.
Aware of Wolves’ proposal, Textor contacted Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim and made the club more profitable: around 19 million (104 million reais).
It is important to point out that the full value of trading 100% economic rights will not stay entirely with Flamengo. The club transfers around 20% of the deal between João Gomes himself and the commission to the company that represents him.
Thus, Flamengo will receive 15.5 million euros (85.3 million Brazilian reals) if Textor’s proposal is accepted, more than two million dollars if approval is granted to the English of Wolverhampton.
Joao Gomez wants Wolves to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League. English football is also preferred by its employees.
By the way, the Council of Wolves didn’t like the change of scenery. It is not specified if João Gomes will bid farewell or goodbye (farewell in English and French, respectively), while the athlete continues without training and hopes to realize the dream of European football.
